My husband and I have just decided to move to the United States. We thought about it for a year and we finally decided to do it, we had to decide which state to move into. Since I had only been familiar with California, New York and Florida, I suggested them. My husband however decided against living in those states because of the high cost of living there. He instead suggested we try Seattle since he had friends who lived in Maple Leaf and they told him that it was a great place to live and raise kids. I searched the internet for homes for sale in Maple Leaf and within a couple of weeks we already had a shot list of homes we wanted to see.
When we flew to Seattle, we also met a broker who told us about several other homes for sale in Maple Leaf. She told us that it was one of Seattle’s best kept secrets. She said that Maple Leaf was mostly a residential neighborhood. Most of the old houses are huge, but the newer ones are smaller and more affordable. It took us two weeks of seeing several homes before we finally found one that was perfect for us.
